MINISTRY OF GRACE - MID WEEK BOOST

Grace Through Representation

The booking information was specific, two single rooms, with views overlooking the bay, for two weeks. Father and son were excited about the upcoming trip. Mr Ernie, would spend the first week playing golf and rekindling an old pastime, painting. His preferred style, Realism. This style is considered ‘ real art’, by many as it attempts to give a true representation of the subject being painted . Realism style painting, has been the dominant style of painting since the Renaissance.
Son Mike, was there to attend a Solar Energy conference.
The second week, was dedicated to spending quality time together.

Therefore, My beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of The Lord, for as much as ye know that your labour is not in vain in The Lord
1 Corinthians 15:58

Dad anticipated taking his son around the town. He was familiar with this place. It was here, where he spent four years at university. This place was his alma mater, and he was delighted to be back. Signs of change were obvious, but not too many.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; in so much that, if it were possible , they shall deceive the very elect.
Matthew 24:24

More than thirty years have passed since his graduation from Bristol University, this was his first trip back.
It has also been more than thirty years since he dreamt of painting Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge. This visit would give him the opportunity to fulfill that dream.

God’s Grace Through Representation in Jesus is, Our High Priest.
He is Our Example
He is Our Sacrifice
He is Our Mediator
He is Our Saviour

For we have not a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all things tempted like as we are, yet without sin
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:15-16

That was Mid-Week Boost for this Week.
