MINISTRY OF GRACE - MID WEEK BOOST

Grace Through Loneliness

The Epsom Derby, is one of the purest examples of a British Event. It has existed since 1779 and is held annually in June. It is considered, ‘the greatest flat race in the world’. And of the five classic horse racing meets in the United Kingdom, it is considered the richest and most prestigious.
Mildred and her friends, decided to attend one year. They decided, to buddy up. This would ensure that everyone had a companion and that no one is left alone.
They would attend, ‘Ladies Day’. The most glamorous day in the british social and sporting calendar. They would be traveling by coach.
The journey was pleasant. Arriving soon after the gates were opened at ten thirty. Their location for the day, would be, ‘The Village Enclosure ‘. Found at centre stage and facing the Grandstand. The girls, were amazed by how thick the crowd was, because the actual racing begins at two thirty. In The Village Enclosure, there is live music, al- fresco pop-ups, electric street food stalls and drink bars.
Soon the girls were chatting about the beautiful dresses and hats on display.

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear
Ephesians 4:29

Then, the atmosphere suddenly changed at twelve thirty when the royal family arrived.
At two, Gillian shot off with her race card to collect tickets. Informing Annie, ” I will be back soon”. She had been gone for hours. And eventually returned when the racing had ended.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Matthew 24:42

Annie was left all alone, without a buddy. Commenting she said, “I felt lonely, abandoned and worthless”.

And, lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen
Matthew 28:20

God’s Grace Through Loneliness in Jesus is, His Presence
He Comes to Us
He Forgives Us
He Loves Us
